BJA Junior Closed & Senior Open Kata Championships

On Sunday 24th November, 2013 we hosted both the BJA Junior Closed and the BJA Senior Open Kata Chamionships. The competition attracted teams from France, Germany, Holland as well as the UK.

Tuesday Senior class - Technical Focus

Each Tuesday in November we will be looking at Judo fundamentals, essential for all good techniques.
In December our focus will be on combinations, both Renzuko-waza and Renraku-waza,.
Hampshire Masters - 10 November 2013

A short trip out to Fleet in Hampshire for 2 of our masters on the 10 of November proved to be a great day out. Vali Branda'o bought back the Gold medal in the under 100kg men 45+ years category and Ashley Parrette the Bronze in the under 90kg men 45+ years, the largest category of the day. The look on Valis face when holding one of his opponents down was amazing - that guy was not getting up.
Welsh Open Result- 2 November 2013

Well done to our payers at the Welsh Open on Saturday. The long 7 hour journey to Swansea didn’t deter our young players entering this high level ranking event against some of Britain’s top players.

Thanks to all of you who came along to Donyngs Sport centre in Redhill on Sunday, you‘ve helped us win the Millennium league for a third year running.
